Colonel Hilton Howell Railey commanded the Army Experimental Station at Pine Camp (now Fort Drum) New York. He oversaw the training of two sonic deception units. The 3132 Signal Service Company became part of the 23rd Headquarters Special Troops, while the 3133 operated independently in Italy. Colonel Railey's command created this film to educate high-ranking American officers about the possible use of sonic deception. Railey appears in the film about sixteen minutes in, inspecting the troops. The film also contains excellent footage of the sonic unit recording their deception sounds, a tour of their facility at Pine Camp, and a very cheesy scenario that has B-actors playing German officers fooled by sonic deception. The original film is in the National Archives in College Park Maryland.
